I’m a father of 4, and husband to a beautiful, Nicaraguan wife. I have a wide range of interests that include playing music, photography/videography, writing about music, and trying to better myself through exercise. When I’m not trying to make any of those passions come to life, I’m with the family, enjoying their company, and working to give them the best life possible.
I have created a video series called The Art Inside the Craft that I film, edit, interview, and manage by myself. I apply my knowledge of music in trying to ask thoughtful and interesting questions that bring out the best of the artist and highlight their skill. I want to ask the questions that no one is really asking that go beyond an artists favorite singer.
The Art Inside the Craft is an exploration into the creative process of individuals who not only have a physical craft that they work, but also an art: the “expression of human creative skill and imagination.” It’s an exploration of how the art affects the physical product. The symbiotic relationship between the physical act of creating, and the artistic way in which an individual interjects unique and subtle elements into that creation is absolutely fascinating. My own desires to understand, and apply what these artisans have captured, has led me to this new video series.
