Jeremy Glazier is an Iowa-based documentary filmmaker, photographer, writer, and interviewer whose work is centered on people and the stories they leave behind.
Photography has been the foundation of Jeremy’s creative work, taking him from concert stages and music festivals to intimate portrait sessions, documentary interviews, community events, and assignments throughout Iowa and beyond. His approach is straightforward: make photographs and films that feel honest, look distinctive, and preserve something worth remembering.
That same approach led to From Iowa and Back: The Vietnam Era, Jeremy’s documentary built from the firsthand stories of Iowa veterans and their families. What began as a deeply personal project grew into an ongoing effort to preserve a generation’s experiences through film, photography, interviews, public screenings, and continuing documentary work. The film has been presented to audiences throughout Iowa and recognized through film festivals, while the larger project continues to grow as Jeremy documents additional stories.
Music remains another major part of his work. Jeremy photographs concerts, artists, festivals, and live events and is available to work directly with bands, venues, promoters, festivals, and publications. His music journalism and long-form interviews have also allowed him to document artists beyond the stage, combining photography and conversation to tell a more complete story.
Across all of these projects, the common thread is curiosity. Jeremy is interested in the people behind the photograph—the veteran recalling something he hasn’t spoken about in decades, the musician preparing to walk onstage, the artist explaining why a song was written, or the community trying to preserve a piece of its history.
Jeremy continues to develop independent documentary projects while accepting commissioned photography, concert and event photography, portrait work, interviews, editorial assignments, and creative collaborations. He is particularly interested in working with musicians, organizations, communities, and individuals who have a meaningful story to tell.
